Custom Cosette Set

This past week, one of the projects I've been working on was a custom Cosette set for a Bride and her flower girl. Here are the final products.

A 3 inch Cosette headband for the flower girl (with simplified layers and without a rhinestone to make it a little different from the Bride's). And the Bride's custom 4 inch Cosette

Perfection

You know that scene from FRIENDS (season 1) where Chandler was stuck in the ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre and he says, "On second thought, gum would be perfection"? Ok... well maybe you're not a complete nerd like me and recite Friendisms... but for me, yesterday was perfection. I took my first day off in over a month (I may have snuck a few emails at the beginning and of the day but sshhhhh) and Danny and I spent the day together snowboarding at the slopes behind our house. I haven't boarded in a few years and it was so nice to get back out in the snow again... especially since we live in one of the ski capitals of the country. We finished the day with some super yummy Mexican food and a game of Yahtzee (nerd alert). It was perfection.

Estate Line Launch Plus New Products in Shop!

I'm so excited to be launching the Estate Line in the Silver Pencils shop. Products from this line will be listed only every so often and will have unique, vintage pieces as the main adornment This enables the buyer to have a one of a kind piece created solely for them. I've been collecting vintage jewelry from estate sales for quite some time. I love unique pieces with a bit of history behind them. The only sad part is that once they're out of the shop- that's it. For the Bridal Party

This past month has been crazy busy over here at Silver Pencils, and honestly- it's been amazing. One of the main reasons it's been so busy is because I've been getting quite a few orders to outfit the entire wedding party- which is so awesome! One of those large orders (seen below) is going out today.

Happy Friday!!

Happy Friday!! Here's my weekend in a nutshell:

1) Desperately try to find our only truck key that Danny misplaced yesterday. I've gone through the house a million times, sifted through cold snow, and then gone through our house a million more times- and nada. I'd call AAA but I let our membership expire last month since we hadn't used it in forever (totally jinxed myself). I renewed it last night... and it takes 3 days to go into effect. So... continue searching for our key is my #1 Priority- especially since Danny's wallet is still in the truck (with his bus pass for work).

2) Once I find the key- go get copies made! This is not a one time thing. Danny, my husband whom I love with all my heart and am so blessed to be married to- loses things all. the. time. For example- when shoveling the stairs 3 days ago (yes 3) I saw a little black thing underneath the snow and it was our truck key (never knew it was even missing!). So... I guess this is shame on me for not getting copies made then... maybe :)

3) Work on a bunch of lovely orders and custom wedding party sets

4) Start exercising again. I was doing soooo good (4-5 times a week) and then when I got sick last week, everything just went downhill. So I'm holding myself accountable now by putting it on here

The Neutral Home

I love gray, white, and black in a home. It's clean. It's soothing. And it's classy. Add some pops of green and I'm in love. My home in no way has this color scheme- we're currently more of the neutral by way of browns people at the moment. But I think in the future- we may go this route instead.

Meet Christine... Part 3

Today I have the final installment of Chris & Sean's beautiful and fun autumn wedding. In the month leading up to the wedding, Chris purchased a vintage postcard lot off of ebay for the guests to write their well wishes on instead of a guest book. Her mom is mailing the cards to them them sporadically throughout the year to read- don't you love that? Danny found one of the catacombs in Europe and instead of well wishes wrote a message from a person who is trapped down there... I love himTheir escort cards were playing cards (navy for the guests, yellow for the bridal party), and whatever number you had on the opposite side was your table. For example, if yours was an 8 of hearts- you were at table 8. The tables were also marked with jumbo playing cards displaying the number of the table. There was lots of dancingThe cake was gorgeousAnd was soon smashed into their facesLove this picture of Chris with her new brother in lawAnd these may be the two cutest little boys everThe rings

Real Wedding: Christine & Sean Part Deux

Today I have part two of Christine and Sean's beautiful fall wedding! At Padua Hills you have the option of having the ceremony inside or outside, but with trees likes these- who would want to get married inside?
Christine's 'Something Borrowed' was the veil I used for my wedding. Totally felt like Monica when she lent her veil to Phoebe for her wedding... I relate way too much of my life to FRIENDS. But being able to contribute to what she wore with her veil and hair flower meant so much to me

Anyways :) All the twinkle lights around the trees helped create some really pretty and whimsical shots like this
Once the ceremony was over, Chris and Sean headed down to the terrace for photos with family, friends, and each otherAnd since the first post was so heavily saturated with pics of the gorgeous girls, I thought I'd add some in of the guys

Real Wedding: Christine & Sean Part 1

Today's real wedding is very special to me because it involves my very best friend Christine.

Chris and Sean were married on November 28th at Padua Hills Theater in Claremont, CA. The very talented Matthew Morgan captured their day perfectly and I just love this photo of them below.

But before the wedding, the girls all met at a salon in Arcadia for hair and makeup.I heart this lipstick photoBecause I did my own hair and makeup (clarification- my sister did my hair because after 26 years I still don't know how to)- I showed up at the salon after the rest of the gang.After everyone was done (there were 8 bridesmaids!) we headed over to the Bridal Suite at Padua Hills. I love this photo of Chris- she looks so happy :)After we were all gussied up...I made Chris the Everleigh flower for her hair that day.
